Coverage Scorecards

Coverage Scorecard - Commercial

The Coalition for Access to Prenatal Screening (CAPS) believes cf-DNA noninvasive prenatal screening (NIPS) should be available to all women. CAPS works to eliminate the commercial insurance disparity gap so that all women, regardless of risk factor, have access to NIPS. Many commercial plans offer this benefit to all pregnant women; however unfortunately several leading national plans only cover this screening for those considered "high risk."*

Coverage Scorecard - Medicaid

The Coalition for Access to Prenatal Screening (CAPS) believes cf-DNA noninvasive prenatal screening (NIPS) should be available to all women. However, a clear health disparity gap exists as there are still four states whose state Medicaid programs do not cover NIPS at all, even for high risk women.
